DRAMA-what you need to know
Drama is taken from the greek word dran, which means, do or act. Drama in real life involves action, which is one of the important method of seeing life. It is a situation in which happenings in a story are not narrated but acted out on stage by casts. Drama is a play mearn’t for theater, television or radio, which is written in form of scripts. Dramatic arts is an important means of stimulating creativity in problem solving. It challenges our perceptions about the world. Dramatic exploration can provide everyone with an outlets for emotions, thoughts and dreams that we might not otherwise have means to express. In the Drama group or class, a student can, if only for a few moments, become another, explore a new role, try out and experiment with various personal choices and solutions to very real problems-problems from their own life or problems faced by characters literature or historical figures. This can happen in a safe atmosphere, where actions and consequences can be examined, discussed, and in a very real sense experienced without the dangers and pitfalls that such experimentation would obviously lead to in the “real” world. This is perhaps the most important reason for drama in school. Still, there is far more that Drama can do. At the center of all Drama is communication. Like all the arts, Drama allows sudents to communicate with and understand others in new ways. Perhaps, more than any other art form. Drama also provide training in the very practical aspects of communication so neccessary in todays increasingly information-centered world. Most importantly, Drama requires self control and discipline that will serve the students well in all aspects of life. NO ART FORM IS MORE TRULY COLLABORATIVE. Drama is an important tool for preparing students to live and work in a world that is increasingly Team-Oriented rather than hierarchical.
Drama also helps students, including the people at large develop tolerance and empathy in order to play a role competently, an actor must be able to fully inhabit anothers soul. An actor must be able to really understand how the world looks through another persons eyes. This does not mean he must agree with every character. An actor can play Hitler with becoming a Nazi. But he cannot play Hitler without understanding his point of view, without empathy. In todays increasingly polarized and intolerant culture, the ability to understand others motives and choices is critical. Drama can help build responsible global citizens.

Self-Confidence
Aspects of performing arts, especially improvisation, helps young people to understand how to appraise situations, think outside the box and be more confident going into unfamiliar situations. Students learn to trust their ideas and abilities. Confidence gained from learning performing arts skills applies to school, career, and life.
Imagination
Being creative and learning to make creative choices helps students to be better at thinking of new ideas, allowing them to view the world around them in new ways. Einstein said,“Imagination is more important than knowledge.
”Empathy
Understanding characters, roles and the subtext of plays and musicals allows students to relate better to different situations, backgrounds, and cultures. It encourages them to show compassion and tolerance for others.
Cooperation
Theatre is a collaboration of different players and in many cases the quality of any performance reliance on an ensemble performance. Combining the creative ideas and the abilities of all participants is required for the best outcomes. This requires all those taking part to engage in discussions, feedback, rehearsing, and the performance.
Concentration
Playing, practicing, and performing will develop the ability and skills to be able to focus the mind, the body, and the voice.
Communication Skills
It seems obvious to say that drama, theatre and the performing arts improves verbal and nonverbal communication, but it is worth stating that this benefits young people through their life. It improves vocal projection, articulation, tone of speech and expression. Importantly is also develops listening and observation skills.

Drama brings elements of play, humour, and laughter to those taking part – improves motivation and reduces stress.
Emotional Outlet
Acting and drama games allow students to express a range of emotions and encourage them to understand and deal with similar feelings they may be experiencing. Aggression and tension are released in a safe, controlled environment – often allowing for a period of reflection afterwards.
Physical Fitness
Performing, even the most passive performances, requires intensive movement over a prolonged period. Many performing arts exercises improve flexibility, coordination, balance, and control.
Memory
Rehearsing and performing lines and movements will improve memory. Your memory requires exercise, just like a muscle.

Despite all the above listed views, the main purpose of this event is that we have forgotten the interpretation of nature through Drama. Thats why, we aim bringing back theater into reality just like bringing back life on stage. This event is expected to get huge response from the youths and its basically designed for the youths, in view of the proportion of young people in the society and the role the movie industry has played in inculcating propal morals in this class of population. Drama night is poised to showcase the passion of youths, beauty, culture, pride and ambience of the great nation Nigeria!

Location we choosed
Its true charity begins at home. It seems obvious to say that the host residence is Delta State and its headquarters at Asaba. So therefore, Asaba is choosen to open the event for this year and that of the next year will be decided.

The aim and vision is clear. This great event is expected to hold atleast once every year across the major cities at Nigeria, to showcase and restore the beauty and nature of art and Drama.
Why we involved music stars including phyno,
Woh, its simple. to spice the entertainment night with lots of activities. .
Its our pleasure to include phyno who rules the eastern music and we know what the people like and what will pull in great audience likewise other music stars, not much difference but main purpose is to get the great audience entertained and we all know of course that Drama will not be presented from the beginning night to the closing morning, other activities will be carried out

ARRANGEMENT OF THE DRAMA
since its a very tight competitive event, after the sub audition day. Fifteen(15) different groups of drama groups will be selected for the final competition at the do or act night. With one theme to present titled “The pride of Justice” the legible judges will be responsible for the affairs relating to the success or victory of the top 3(three) drama groups thereafter, the top three will be be allowed to perform their choice Drama themselves before the final result.
